1. The Role of Execution Engineers in Safety Implementation

Objectives:
  • Provide engineers with knowledge of engineering supervision procedures in accordance with the laws and regulations governing quality and implementing them on projects.
  • Understand the concept of professional occupational safety and health and the implementation of its concepts on projects.
  • Familiarize themselves with the tasks and responsibilities of a safety engineer and occupational safety and health procedures according to the requirements of the Egyptian labor law and the requirements of international standards.
  • Understand the occupational safety and health requirements on projects according to Egyptian Labor Law No. 12 of 2003.

2. Occupational Safety and Health

Objectives:
  • Improve and enhance safety knowledge for engineers and technicians working in the field or technical office
  • Understand occupational safety and health application in industrial, professional, and construction facilities
  • Familiarize participants with international standards (ISO-45001-2018) in occupational safety and health management systems
  • Provide all legally required professional safety and health requirements in construction projects and industrial facilities

3. Certified Occupational Safety and Health Supervisor

Objectives:
  • Understand the occupational safety and health application system in industrial, professional, and construction facilities.
  • Knowledge of accidents, occupational hazards and how to evaluate risks and take preventive measures to avoid accidents.
  • Prepare security plans and evaluate them.
  • Understand the requirements and standards of the Egyptian labor law and international occupational safety and health standards.
  • Integrate a safe management system throughout the project phases (planning and design, implementation, operation and exit).

4. Securing Work at Heights

Objectives:
  • Familiarize engineers and technicians with all risks they may encounter while working at heights on projects and the appropriate means for maintaining their safety.
  • Enable participants to identify the requirements for each tool and equipment used in work at heights.
  • Provide all health and safety requirements during work at heights, starting with how to perform safe work and carry out inspection of equipment.
  • Identify how to prepare and evaluate work at heights plans to ensure workers' safety.

5. Insulation and Protection of Concrete Structures

Objectives:
  • Familiarize participants with sources of corrosion in concrete and their effects.
  • Learn how to treat cracks, strengthening and reinforcing concrete structures.
  • Understand the latest technologies and materials used in insulation and concrete protection.
  • Familiarize with the applications of heat and sound insulation.
  • Learn about waterproofing and moisture insulation in foundations and roofs.
  • Understand the quality of insulation implementation and necessary tests.
